  1. Hey y'all! I'm Annie, a Washington raised skier and climber. I grew up resort skiing in the Inland Northwest but have been backcountry skiing/mountaineering in the Cascades for the past few seasons. I love a good volcano ski - Baker is my favorite!

I'll be based out of Spokane for the winter and am planning to be pretty mobile with my truck. I'd love to get to know some of the backcountry zones near the mountains I grew up skiing in the Panhandle. I also have dreams of exploring the Cabinets and the Wallowas if I can find some folks to go with me. Planning to hit Red/Whitewater/Fernie in February too.

I'm super psyched on finding skiers and climbers to hang with in the area - please feel free to shoot me a message. I'd love to link up!

  2. Hello Everyone!
I have been a nonactive member for awhile now but just rediscovered this forum searching for DIY sled rack examples. What an awesome site! Just wanted to say hi and thanks to the crew that put this together.
We ride with a crew of 3 sometimes 4 out of Spokane and we have dabbled in the b/c for a few years in the silver valley (burke/St. Regis Basin) , Roman nose and Trestle Creek near Hope. We are always looking for new zones and looking forward to sharing and viewing some trip reports this year!
We are all avy trained, avy geared with sleds. If you have a trip planed or want to link up and explore send a message!

    Cheers!

Welcome to all the new folks! My buddy Andrew is throwing together a party that may be a good opportunity for you to come out, meet some folks, and get some turns in. This is probably the best human powered access area around in the panhandle. Look on general page for

  9. Hello all, I live in the Priest river/lake area and ride Schweitzer inbounds and out. I have two very nice Yamaha VK Pro Snowmobiles and generally Ride the Selkirks. I will be happy to bring anyone along for a day trip if they like. You must be safe and some experience on a sled. I will be at Schweitzer in the AM 12/20/21 if you want to meet up for a few turns. Waiting for snow levels to be deeper with a better base but will be going soon for sure. Have fun out there!!!

  13. Visiting my girlfriends family who are long time sandpoint natives for the week. We line in slc. I brought all my touring gear and was hoping to just get some fitness vert up near Schweitzer! Been browsing for the last few weeks and blown away by the tight nit community here

  14. Hey! I am a longtime backcountry skiier based out of Tahoe, will be in the Sandpoint area for around two weeks around New Years. Looking forward to exploring some of the sidecountry and Schweitzer as well as hopefully getting in some human-powered days. Really appreciate the local community having this resource available. Happy to provide anyone some beta for Tahoe if visiting there.

  16. Hello, I just moved back to Sandpoint and need some ski/touring/sled partners. I've been in the backcountry and ski patrolled for years in tahoe and elsewhere, but am new to these mountains so any local knowledge is helpful. I've rode snowmobiles with patrol for years but this is the first winter having my own so finding fellow sled skiers would be rad. I also will be at Schweitzer a lot, and planning some trips with the ikon pass, so hit me up if you like to travel. Oh and I'm free every day until mid march when I start work again, so hit me up and let's have some fun.

  19. New to the area, learned to love touring over a few seasons in Bellingham after school at Western. Now working as a Wilderness Ranger in the summers in Rocky Mountain National Park and spending the off seasons in Spokane. Great to have a grassroots community like this.
