Is anyone touring this weekend around Eastern WA, NW Idaho and would mind someone tagging a long?

Also looking for any recommendations of where to go. Don't need your honey holes, just some good touring.

Hey Josh, add to your profile your experience level and avalanche education.
Right now, I think everyone is waiting to see what happens with the new storms coming. new snow is going to land on a bit of surface hoar that has surely formed over the last 7 days or so..

Cheer! all safety/training under the "info" tab. Looks like laps around Mt Spokane may be the safest bet right now. I'll keep an eye here and on the weather/bulletins.

All, depending on wx/conditions/and updated Avi bulleting, I'm planning on heading to Stevens Lake(s) on Sunday. Depending on how conditions look, that may include pushing up and over Stevens Peak and down to Lone lake. Trip will definitley include a stop by Wallace brewery on the way back to town. Feel free to call or text if you'd like to meed up 843 496 1857.

Yah, as noted by @teledance. Also, if you've never been there good to read some trip reports. Very technical terrain in all fo Steven's Pk area. Much of the slopes dropping in either side has a lot of slide potential.
Seeing some vid from member @Katrinaandrocket today at Silver, wet slides are going to be prominent.

All, apreciate the advice! Panda, I'm relatively familiar with the area, backpacked and snowshoed last year a few times. I think I read someones trip report from December, that's what got me thinking about the area. That being said, after watching the weather, bulletin for Kootenay, and overall comfort level, I ended up doing some laps at Mt Spokane.

Noticed a few sluffs on the way up, 36* at the base 30* at the summit road parking lot. There was a pretty solid rain crust which i'm sure doest surprise anyone. Dug a small pit about halfway up, had about 3/4" rain crust, followed by 3" of 1 finger snow, then what looked to me (not a professional) like a hoar layer. It was snowing at the campground, a mix of graupple and small light flakes. Anyways, toured up to the camp ground parking lot, back down, and another lap. Overall a great day!

Anyways, I'm free next week and would love to tag along and learn with anyone going. Joined this forum after seeing how knowledgeable everyone is and would really like to learn.
