Hi all, my name is Dave and I just moved to Coeur d'Alene. I lived in Logan, Utah for the last 4 seasons and spent those years almost exclusively skiing the backcountry there with experienced partners. I'm in my 20s, I have AIARE 1, AIARE rescue, all the gear, and should have a sled this season. Still need to finish AIARE 2 (started it 2 years ago but didn't complete), but I understand most of the concepts and feel confident making my own assessments based on terrain, weather, and snowpack.
