Dog Friendly Tours

Anyone here take their dog into the backcountry with them?

I have a 16 month old yellow lab that loves the snow and loves to go out with me.

Any suggestions for dog friendly, mellow tours in the area?

I take my dog with me almost every time. Although I've learned spring tours with steep couloirs are not ideal because he gets in my way when turns are tight Across from lookout ski resort and West Willow peak are great options for dogs.

St Regis Basin in general is a good place.. Mt Spokane on their closed days would be good too.

Skip Mt Spokane with the dog.. (Leash laws in state park/not allowed at all in ski area)

Do you access St. Regis via Lookout Pass ski area?

Also, do you guys have any suggestions on where to get good topo maps of the area? I usually use PeakBagger but anywhere else?
