Confirmed this afternoon that the road is open for the season! Enjoy!
Thanks for the update Mike!
I'd been wondering, thanks SG.
Graupel-fest up there today!
A coworker told me she drove the Pass on Sunday and it was open but signs saying it's closed we're still up.
They took down the signs on Monday.
Thank you to the Shoshone County road crews:
Anybody wants to ski this with me on Sunday?
Next weekend yes, this Sunday going to utilize the lifts.
Does anyone know if you can park overnight at the Thompson Pass parking lot?
I've seen it done, no idea officially.
(And in the summer plenty park overnight for trips to the lakes...)
Going up Saturday
Gold Pass was plowed open at the top yesterday.
Limited ski options besides touring along the divide but opens the upper Joe for other activities.
Hey Idsnowghost, is Gold Pass open all the way through, or just to the top from one side? Thanks!
Press release made it sound like all the way through:
Well going to head up on Sunday for some turns, since it's plowed and temps are down.
Tanks for the heads up!
Right on, thanks for the info.
Skied it Wednesday, Granite to the lake is about cooked already. Lake is slushy. Less snowpack than last year but “Richards Run” is looking prime and good smooth corn.
