Do you have a pass to Silver? Buy me a beer and I'll provide Intel on the BC/SC of Silver. I am up there every powder day and it's a rare day without some SC . Tele skier in black pants and coat with red boots.
If you really want chutes go to Willow Creek East of Mullan go hike around Lone Lk and up to Packsaddle, get a feel for the area before the snow arrives.

  3. Of course it goes without saying...but I'll say it just for good measures: If you are familiar with safe travel practices in avalanche terrain, then Willow, Silver Mtn sidecountry, and, well heck...the entire region is a prime spot to follow those practices.
If you're not familiar with safe travel practices in avalanche terrain then it is wise to learn.
If you see me @ Silver I would show you a few things too. My main distinguishing characteristic is that all my skis have Voile CRB bindings...a binding no longer made. Bumblebee (black w/yellow) Scarpa T1s are my boots in the BC
  4. I'm new as well to the area. Not knowledgeable yet about area but I know BC/Avy/Rescue. Always game to go explore if you need an extra!

LOL, Happy with one for the info, after all adding to the traffic and use, my easy hikes are busier. The new to me scree slope should be sweet once I find it. Spent 3 months doing surveys between Highland and Blue Eagle Creeks, behind Silver this summer.

You are on, at least if it's off the backside of Goaties. Took plenty of photos for hitting the area this winter.

Yeah, there are a couple scree fields back that way I'd love to check out! I think @oldguy has skied them?
