Idea: Panhandle Backcountry Film Festival

Idaho Panhandle Avalanche Center (IPAC) and Panhandle Backcountry are looking at next years fund raiser event that would bring in the local community.
We would like to do a film festival event of mini movies from skiers & riders in the IPAC districts (Sandpoint, Kootenai and Silver Valley. We would include Easter Wa border terrain as well).

We would have the below General Rules:

• 5 minutes or less in length
• If footage is in avalanche terrain, must have appropriate equipment. EX: riders must be wearing backpacks (signifying avy rescue gear).
• Needs to be clean (family fun viewing).
• No more then 20 seconds of in-resort park video
• Any snow genre welcome: Skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, fort building, snowbiking, tobogganing, snowmobiling, etc

This would allow for video to be done through this season, editing through the summer (if it takes that long) and then submissions by end of summer for panel review and then showing at a Film Festival fund raiser for IPAC in the Fall of 2019.
