I published a children's book titled Searching For Snowmen last winter in Alaska. The main character is snowman researcher Sally Sluff who delves into the life-cycle of snowmen and the book has a ski theme. This is hard covered book perfect for the Holidays. The illustration are by reknown artist Erica Shirk of Valdez.

With that said, I will donate $2 from each sale of the book to the Idaho Panhandle Avalanche Center. The book is available at Annie's Bookstore in downtown Spokane or through searchingforsnowmen.com

Thanks everyone for supporting the Friends Of The IPC and your new immigrant and dirt-bag telemark skier. The Chugach National Forest Avalanche Forecast Center has a Friends organization and with local knowledge and input through observations, they provide critical data for forecasters. The results of this cooperation is a marked decrease in fatality rates in Alaska. So worth supporting local Friends whenever I can. Be careful out there. Think like a snowman!
