I just wanted to generate some discussion and see what type of cool apps people are using in the backcountry. I was recently searching for an inclinometer and came accross Mammutt Safety App:
This app has links to every avalanche bulletin in the world, has a compass, altimeter, an inclinometer, risk checklist for certain slopes, and an SOS feature. I was primarily after an inclinometer and something that could be used in AIRPLANE mode. I haven't played yet with the other features but the inclinometer feature is pretty cool. You go to the app, click on clinometer, push the button to activate your camera, and match the snowline with the line on the app and you can immediately see the slope angle.
Anyways, thought it was cool and wanted to pass it along for others to download. I'd love to see and hear about what other people are using as well.
