Silver Mountain Dec 1

Note quite backcountry info but....kudos to the PB member who bombed Sunset at Silver for first
tracks down! Well done sir. You sir are a great skier! Was not quite that fast, but 4th tracks weren't
so bad. Pretty backcountryish!
Ha! That would be me...Sorry I didn’t stop to chat more, I got a little of that powder fever! Was hoping to catch you on another lap to say hey. Pretty decent day up there! Silver sure did some great glading in the off season

I skied S.O.B up there yesterday. It was a little crusty under 2" of soft, but really, really fun! You had to keep up some speed to stay out of the crust. Worth it!
Yeah...Saturday there was some "Krackle" on and near cornice....but after that it rode nice!

Nice Brandon!! I wasn't quite in aiming it mode, as I am still fairly new to mountain and terrain around here. It
rides so much different here than in CO. Nice and might see you up there some other time!

You can thank ski patrol for the “great glading” up there. Nick F, Joel K, and Alecia. Sounds like those three put a lot of work in up there this summer.
I heard they had some lumber Company cut another run as well....Bad news though....they are waiting on some
part for Chair 4 to open...so even with more snow...there is no date for that to come in/be fixed. Ohh boy.

I wear kneepads and I've hit both wood and rock laying on the ground flopping around sucks, skiing out of the BC on one leg isn't fun. I can be patient, Alpine some, tele some the snow will come. Telemark turns are so much more fun than the Alpine turns when the time and place are right.

"Old Knee Draggers", got to love it! I have never Tele Skied. Really want to, as I feel it could be a lot of fun in POW.
My friend in CO is amazing Tele/Alpine skier. He's the one that makes me want to get into it.
Hope to see you at Silver some time. Not sure if I can muster the funds this year to get my Backcountry gear in order.

Catch me sometime I'll show you some Slackcountry no gear needed skiing, I'm a bit of a Powder Pig at Silver. 19 seasons at Silver, and some Silverhorn back in my College days at the U of I.
If things pan out...Friday should be huge POW day up there! Too bad they're not open Wed.....after big dump~!
