Binding Mounting

Just bought Rossi S7 and Atomic Tracker AT bindings. Anyone recomend where to get them mounted in CDA. I know Tri State carries Soloman Guardian 16 so they've mounted those and they are ID to Atomics or Ski Shack ? Maybe I should ask where not to go too. Normally I wouldn't ask such a dumb question but these are pretty new bindings and don't want someone guessing at their installation. Thanks Pete

Ski Shack I'm sure would be fine... In the Spokane Valley I had Sports Creel mount Kim's Markers on her new Volkl Kiku's and they did a great job.

Yeah, Ski Shack sounds fine.

I can't speak the same for a Sports Creel mount, my experience was much different. I'll unfortunately never give them my business for shop work again. The owners seem like good people, but whoever else they've got doing their mounts sucks.

Fred at Alpine Haus in Spokane is the only "Master Ski Tuner" locally. Nothing but highest praise for his work. He's not in the shop much in the summer though, so you'll end up waiting for a long while unless you tell them you're going to race camp at Hood. haha

Either way, I'd wait until closer to ski season when the shops are regularly doing tunes again. Early October?

Also it's a good idea to slap a thick coat of wax on that base if you're only getting a mount.

Thanks guys will heed your advice. Just watched video on Mica Heli Operation and Island Cat Skiing. Can't believe I am getting stoked in August - but only 90 days till snow so I'll make it

This obviously broke our hearts as we take a lot of personal pride in our shops work. The two people who principally manage the shop work have collectively worked for over forty years in Spokane ski shops. My name is Micah, my parents own the shop, and I've been doing about 90% of the binding mounting for the last 20 years. I'd love to hear what went wrong, and would happily offer several options in an attempt to rectify any wrongdoings on our part.

Absolutely sorry you had anything but a satisfactory experience. Feel free to contact us at (509)924-2330, here, or by email at sportscreel@yahoo.com. Thank you.

Welcome to Panhandle Backcountry, Micah and Sports Creel!

Thanks for addressing the issue. I'll follow up on PM.

To clarify a bit: this was referring specifically to a ski binding mount. I'd say my opinion of Sports Creel other than that is positive and I've been back to the store for other reasons. It's also worth noting again, Panda had a good experience with a mount.

Hey Micah… Good to see you here!! I know the expertise you have in the skiing business will be of great benefit for those on this site.
That being said, I have had all my gf's ski gear worked on there (you guys don't do snowboards, which I always thought you should. But mad props for sticking to your beliefs) and as Mike B said, always do good service. But I KNOW you were the tech on her gear.
For a strickly ski company to be in business for nearly 60 years and not pull in that market and survive is amazing. Now that skiing is on the incline and snowboarding, a decline, this will be of great benefit to you!

Thank you for becoming a part of this community!
