Still learning a lot about shredding the panhandle backcountry and am curious if there is any zones with short approaches from the car that don't require a snowmobile as I don't have one. I've been told most of the zones out here require one but am still curious if there is anything out there people know of within a couple hours drive from the Sandpoint/Rathdrum area with a short hike from the car. I'll be visiting my folks place on Twin Lakes sometime this winter. Thanks and happy shredding.

Other than Tiger Peak in the Central Panhandle, I can't think of any off the top of my head. You could always drive up to Kootenay Pass. Sherman Pass is a good option as well, but it's a long haul from the Sandpoint area. Im sure one of us would be willing to double you on a sled. As long as its not too deep, because sometimes, it's just #toodeeptodouble. lol
