Backcountry near CDA

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the area. Looking for the closest place to skin and ski close to CDA? Anything above treeline in the area? Thanks!

Issac, Welcome there is no true Alpine terrain in N. ID, but closest skiing would be Mica Pk. Snowghost probably has a TR on that.
We have some balds and scree slopes, check out the TR's and grab a Cd'A zone NF map.

Rathdrum Mtn might be another option close to CDA.. but both of those are dependent on a pretty good low elevation snowpack and can test your brush skiing skills.

I'd head out towards Mullan from CDA, probably your best bet for turns and you've got a couple different trailheads to choose from! Browse around the site here for plenty more ideas or partners to head out with!
