Howdy y'all, wanted to drop a note before the season started to see if anyone was interested in a carpool group or something of the sort. I broke down and bought a pass this year to Schweitzer to give the legs the occasional break they have been requesting. With gas prices high and the number of electric vehicles I own low, it would be nice to have company heading up to Sandpoint from the Spokane/CDA area. Also happy to drive and ski other places with people as well.
  2. I'm toying with pulling the trigger on Schweitzer today. Probably would do a midweek pass, but if I do I'd be interested in carpooling!

I got my Silver pass this week, also considering a lookout pass for touring access. Aso interested in weekday post-work uphill travel at Mt. Spokane!

  5. I'll be in Coeur D'Alene the week of Thanksgiving and from Dec 27-Jan 2. Up to ride wherever the best snow is! Would be great to have some riding partners for any (hopefully) deep days that we might get.

    Hey @EmmSaa
Are you looking at doing terrain South of the new lift?

Just got back in town! Honestly I’ve just heard from friends who have been in the area longer that the new lift will provide great access and need to do more research.

PM me on some beta I can provide. Before getting a sled, I cut my teeth back there and have a bit of experience.
It needs to be noted that as you get south on that ridge there is very consequential terrain needing good route finding and drop zones. There are some huge avy paths.

I spoke with lookout management, they are not planning on having an open gate policy until likely next season, at which time they will place gates up and hopefully beacon check stations.
I'll note, if you drop East from the lift.. once at the bottom (St Regis creek is there), go left. it literally take ya back to the bottom of Chair 2. LoL

Anyone reading this post... do not drop in any of the zones from the back lift without excellent avy skills and partners.

    Cheers,
    PP
