So... Who's heading out this weekend?

If you are, the snow pack is not real deep. but I would love if you could do a pit and report what you find with the bottom 5-8cm.
There is a layer of depth hoar sitting at the base under the Nov 18th rain crust. IPAC would like to find if this last rain event soaked through deep enough to help that depth hoar (reset). If this is still an issue, we need to pay attention as the season goes as there could be some slides to the ground. No Bueno!

Additionally, from what they see up north there is a nasty layer of dirt as well from the wind storm. That dirt will not go away and could result in big slides as the pack gets heavier on that layer in steep terrain/rollovers, etc.

Stay safe and keep your heads turning out there!

Be sure to read the IPAC snow pack synopsis
