PXL_20230224_190609738.jpg So I figured I would just share my latest obsession with y'all. Every time I go ride backcountry I just want to powsurf now. Seriously so much fun that it's ridiculous. Anyone else on here join the bindingless revolution? Would be hyped to see some clips/photos of people powsurfing in the Panhandle.

  2. Have been wanting to try. So are you just booting? What's the uphill travel look like?

  3. Just like my dating profile says. I don’t like Strap Ons! Look under bigz trip reports for some pow surf action of the past. Keep Tibet riding free bro.

Primarily been booting lately. Part of what I like so much about powsurfing is it can make shorter / low-angle zones much more interesting. So booting isn't a bad option. Farm a little zone for pow for as long you can and then move to the next zone.

That being said, I do have vertz snowshoes for slightly longer assents. It is also not a bad option to splitboard to a zone if it is a bit further out, ditch the split at the bottom, and boot pack / snowshoe from there. Quite a few of my buddies have ascent skies too. Just depends on what you prefer.

If one has a sled, there are some great spots out of Burke as well. Just a bit of a walk without the sled.
Once to the spot, just boot up.

I have seen some use the short trek skis. But I'd lean toward the Vert's as well.

  7. The Burton boards have been good! One is a 3D base and one is a flat base. I got a DIY that I have been riding for a few years that is also good times in the right conditions.
