Current Snow Pack In INW 11/25/13

Hey folks… Just chatting with Kevin Davis of IPAC. We all need to remember the layer of Hoar Frost that is forming right now. If this next system comes in too cold, it will build up on top of this weak layer and create a serious avy cycle with some dangerous potential, depending on how much snow, wind and water content.
Mark this time frame in your note books if you are keeping one.

Good heads up, Panda.

I could hear the hoar frost crystals sing yesterday on the rain crust..and a lot of near-surface faceting on the protected slopes above 6k. Might be tricky after this weekend's big storm.
