Cooke City Montana, Avy death

Death in Cooke city from Avy released on a weak layer. Even though this was in central Montana, we have a weak layer already out there in our backyard. Be sure to know what's going on with terrain and check the Avy forecast. Read what others have seen and please talk as a group. If someone doesn't feel right, go off that and play it safe.

Heard about this. What a bummer. When I lived in Cody I spent a lot of time in Cooke. Sick area! That area had a high warning, just goes to show that even what looked like a dosile area, can go in a bad direction quickly. RIP rider. As new snow comes into our area, we all need to be really cautious with this frozen layer underneath.
