WWA 2017 Backcountry Film Festival at GU’s Hemmingson Center Thurs Feb 23rd

The 2017 Winter Wildlands Alliance Backcountry Film Festival comes to Spokane on Thursday February 23rd at Gonzaga University’s Hemmingson Center Auditorium. Doors open at 6:30pm and films start at 7:30pm. Seating is limited. Registration for this free event through Eventbrite assures you will have a seat in the auditorium. Donations will gratefully be accepted at the door, we would like to suggest a $5 minimum per person.


The festival celebrates winter and the human-powered experience. Eleven new award-winning short films are featured. Themes include winter adventure, youth in the outdoors, environment, and mountain culture. Bring a friend and come early for good seats and a chance to socialize. The event is being hosted by Gonzaga Oudoors and the Spokane Mountaineers. Your donation supports the Winter Wildands Alliance and Spokane Mountaineers efforts to promote and preserve opportunities for quality human-powered snowsports on the Inland Northwest’s public lands.
