apprently the expansion is currently under enrionmental impact study both the Idaho Panhandle NF and the Lolo NF will make the final decision based on cummulative effects which includes comments from skiers and snow sport advocates wanting to keep the area free from chair lifts.
Email the US Forest Service and ask the District Rangers you don't want to see an expansion happen.
