Something that you don't see very often.. in fact I'm fairly certain Lookout Pass has only been closed once before for avalanche control work. Official closure reason now is "Avalanche Threat".
Apparently there were 6 small scale slides on the westbound lanes initially, but they've identified additional "cracks above the highway". I-90's closed from Lookout to St Regis until at least Tuesday, if you're headed that way for skiing.
Also a pretty clear indicator of the backcountry conditions out there after this last storm. Be safe!
