Backcountry Travel at Schweitzer without a pass?

Hi there! I'll be staying at Schweitzer village for a couple days this coming weekend. As an avid backcountry traveler from Oregon, I'm excited to venture out into the Schweitzer area backcountry!

Is it possible to access the A/T terrain such as Big Blue from the village without a Ticket? If so, what's the best route? Many thanks for any and all information.

Sorry Ryan, they are very strict about this during the regular season with no uphill traffic. There is a way to access the ridge I believe from the shoulder near the Fire station. If you search in Tour Reports, going pretty far back, I believe someone posted it.

But alas, anything within the ski area boundary is a big no-go.
