This weekend March 15th, & 16th we are meeting up for an unofficial gathering and day or two of touring out of Historic Wallace Idaho. The Stardust Motel in Wallace is giving us a great rate where we can base out of for the weekend. The special rate is $54.00/night with the Code:Panhandle Backcountry . Bring your snowmobiles (OK in town!) or go man-powered. This is just to get people to meet each other and enjoy our local backcountry, then at the end of the day meet at a local pub for stories and laughter. Please note there is no guided touring, as everyone is responsible for themselves and should be equipped and have the knowledge for travel in avalanche terrain.
This gathering will be unguided event, and it's organizer is not able to offer advice on routes, terrain, exact avalanche conditions (avy conditions must always be reevaluated), etc. Each individual is responsible for their own choices based upon their training, experience and conditions.
