We are the closest backcountry ski lodge in Canada to Washington, Idaho and Montana as well as the Spokane airport. Our terrain is spectacular and very user friendly for all levels of ski tourers and snow conditions.
We have three different backcountry skiing options for this winter in the West Kootenays, Southern Selkirks, Canada.
Ymir Backcountry Ski Lodge - featuring helicopter access, great skiing right out the door, hut custodian/host, all services including catering and guiding, 4/5 or 7 day trips available, small groups welcomed and exclusive lodge bookings for groups of 12 or more. located just south of Nelson, British Columbia.
Glacier View Cabins in New Denver - featuring drive to your door access, drive to and snowmobile accessed remote ski touring, helicopter accessed skiing, local t-bar ski area, cabins have internet, cell phone reception, kitchens, hot showers/flush toilets and electric heat. Located half way between Nelson and Revelstoke. We provide snowmobile access and/or guiding as required.
Helicopter Access Skiing - We provide guided helicopter access skiing from a variety of locations throughout the West Kootenay's. Featuring big vertical for the descent and ski touring options prior to the descent. Available as a daily package or part of our other services. Prices from $250 per person. Locations depend on dates and weather. Dates must be pre-booked and available for groups of 1 - 13.
I have been offering our guided and self-guided programs for the last twenty years in the West Kootenays offering everything from instructing avalanche courses, guided catskiing, heli-skiing and backcountry ski touring yurt adventures. This coming winter will be one of the best ever ( for sure better than 2015). I look forward to putting together an incredible skiing adventure for your group.
