Grassroots Powsurfers

I am looking at purchasing one of these boards. Anyone out there have one or ridden one that can tell me about them? Looks like a fun way to get in some early season turns and shred some smaller stuff. I would really like to demo one first but might have to just take the plunge . . . leaning towards the Slasher (directional) as a good entry level point.

Yeah.. Seen them as well. It's that or just get a a No Board set up. Trapper snowboards makes a board designed for that, then buy the adapter. Haven't done it yet though..

The Chiller decks are essentially Skate deck boards.. Due to their narrow under ski, they don't float well in pow. Designed for skate inspired park riding. The Powsurfers are a lot like No Boarding. Noboards adds a leash for with the foot pad to hold the board.. Unless your legendary Al Clark who rides leash less..
Also, you can get a split board, with a removable Noboard pad to allow for split Noboarding (Huge in BC in certain areas I have been sworn not to divulge).

I have yet to try it.. have chatted with Al, but he is far and above my ability in many areas.

Pretty sure the chillerdeck guys ride some pow too. I think they call their's "powderskates", saw them hiking outside of Schweitzer a couple times.

Cool, I will have to check them out too! Might have to see if they have some demos to check out one day this winter.

Decided to pull the trigger and got this delivered today. Can't wait to take it out!

If anyone is interested in purchasing one of these I highly recommend Grassroots. Owner Jeremy Jensen has excellent customer service and shipping was really fast. The quality and design of the board are top notch as well.

Now all we need is a little snow!
