Hey guys… posted this on FB.. spaced and meant to put it here first.
This is a great Avy Awareness class, it is not a certified level course, but they have some good speakers and discuss more Northern Selkirk/Rockies type snow. Which is good to have knowledge of even with where we are. They also have a sweet raffle with TONS of nice items.
The class is in Whitefish, MT, but makes for a fun weekend getaway. Lodging is not that bad as it is a shoulder season and there even if a significant other goes who does not wan to go will have something to do in town!

Sarah and I are going again. Looks like registration is up now ($20).

Whitefish is pretty nice that time of year. Plus Quinn's is on the way home. ;)

HA.. Mike being the TOP winner of a Great Northern Powder Guides snowcat skiing trip!!! I would say there were 2 top prizes there and Mikey got one of them!!
Bobby made out with a new Mammut Airbag backpack!!!

Super awesome!! Oh, did I mention it was a really good workshop with great info!!

Great time with good people! The content of the workshop was good and the speakers were great.... Did anyone mention the free beer?!?

I ended up walking away with a $600 gift cert to a local place (The Toggery) and they had to order the pack for me. I kicked in a few bucks to get the Pro model. All in all, an amazing weekend! I even got a little snow on the drive over Lookout Pass.

Thanks to all of you who made the trip over to Whitefish for NRASW 2014. It was awesome having all the attendees at the Workshop that made it, raising avalanche awareness for our local community, and hearing that folks from the Panhandle won some top-notch raffle prizes. Thank you so much for your support. Great meeting you guys and we look forward to hopefully seeing all of you again next season.

Ted,
THANK YOU!!! Great presentations!! But we can't forget that a big factor also is the people who make it happen!!
Hope to get up there and share a skin track with you guys sometime!!

We hope next year to have an even bigger presence at NRASW 2015.. And hey, let's face it, meeting all the people I did was a prize in itself!!! (Cheesy?? ha). Good times.. good beer!!
